As we approach the last bits of shredding season, ESPN has just kick started its first Winter X Games Europe today. This is the first time the Winter X Games is held outside the United States (the debut game is held in Dignes, France) and had held just held its opening press conference. Eight elite athletes, Torah Bright (Austraila), Kevin Rolland (France), Jenny Jones (UK), Xavier Bertoni (France), JJ Thomas (USA), Mathiew Crepel (France), Louie Vito (USA) will be competing in this inaugural event starting today all the way through to Friday. Aside from these eight athletes highlighted in yesterday’s Snowboard SuperPipe Women’s eliminations and Skiing SuperPipe Men’s Eliminations, close to 150 men and women from across the globe will be competing in skiing and snowboarding. Additionally, there will be snowmobile freestyle demonstrations and events held at X PARK (the X Games snowpark), X FEST (the X Games Village) and more.
